Is the registry really free?

Yes. Creating profiles, searching, receiving match results, sending contact requests, and private messaging are free. Voluntary donations may support operating costs but do not unlock features or improve match placement.

Who can register?

The launch registry is for adults age 18 and older searching because of a past adoption. Adopted people, birth parents, biological siblings, descendants, and other relatives may create profiles.

Can people see my email address?

No. Email addresses are not displayed in profiles, searches, match results, or contact requests.

What is a possible-match score?

It is a lead based on compatible dates, locations, hospitals, agencies, names, and other clues. It is not proof. Names used in scoring remain private.

Can I hide my profile?

Yes. Choose searchable, private, or exact-match-only visibility. You can also pause a profile at any time.

Does the site perform investigations?

No. State resource pages can point to official processes, and future trained volunteers may offer limited guidance, but the registry does not promise investigative results.

What if I do not want contact?

Decline or block the request, turn off contact requests, pause the profile, or deactivate the account. Other members are not entitled to a response.
